For cages larger than 2,000 sq ft, add $0.15 per square foot over 2,000 sq ft.
The median cage comes in at about $300.
Why complexity sets the tier
A large square cage can repeat the same few measurements.
A smaller cut-up cage may have angled walls, jogs and pieces that each require a separate calculation.
That is why a cut-up 2,000 sq ft cage can cost more to lay out than a plain 4,000 sq ft cage.
Every layout receives a name contractors already understand: Square, Standard, Cut up, Custom or One off.
Pricing was calibrated on 237 real completed cage layouts from a working Florida cage company.

Which plan is right for me?
A few cages per month
Use Pay as you go. There is no monthly charge, and you pay only when you run a layout.
About 7–8 cages per month
Compare Pay as you go with the Shop plan using your normal mix of Square, Standard, Cut up, Custom and One off work.
More than 7–8 cages per month
A monthly plan is generally the better buy. Choose between the Shop and Contractor plans based on your normal volume.
Multiple branches
Contact us about an Enterprise plan. Pricing is based on branches, not on the number of employees who log in.
Free re-runs
Pay once for the cage.
If a field measurement needs correcting, fix the number and run the same cage again.
There is no second layout charge for re-running that cage.
A man who hesitates to re-run a layout is a man shipping a cage he knows is wrong.
What the price includes
Every completed layout includes:
- The roof plan with the walls folded out around it
- Every bar and cut length
- Short-point and long-point marks
- Angles and end degrees
- Punch marks and hash marks
- A complete cut list
- Printing straight from your browser
- Free re-runs of the same cage after correcting a measurement
It will not print a shop sheet while a post is still unmeasured or the deck's squareness has not been checked, and every sheet checks itself before it prints.
Unsupported designs
You are never charged for a layout the software refuses as unsupported.
If a design is not supported, Cage Layout Pro identifies it instead of attempting to calculate it.
